How to Use Embroidery I2 For Adobe Illustrator

Embroidery I2 is a plugin that allows you to create embroidery designs directly within the Adobe Illustrator software. You can draw or open a vector file, assign a stitch effect, adjust embroidery parameters and you are ready to sew the design on an embroidery machine. Embroidery I2 is perfect for graphic artists and designers who want to add embroidery into their designs. Download and install Embroidery I2 from https://www.embroideryi2.com/. You will need a login account and password to access your embroidery tools.

Open Adobe Illustrator and create a new document or open an existing vector file that you want to embroider.

Select the Embroidery I2 tab from the top menu and click on the Embroidery I2 icon to launch the plugin.

A new window will open with the Embroidery I2 toolbar and settings. You can see a preview of your design in the center of the window and a hoop area that shows the embroidery area.

To assign a stitch effect to your design, select the object or group that you want to embroider and choose a stitch type from the Stitch Effects panel. You can choose from various stitch types such as fill, satin, run, applique, etc.

To export your design as an embroidery file, click on the Export button on the toolbar and choose a format that is compatible with your embroidery machine. You can also export your design as a PNG file for sending a 3D rendering of your embroidery design to your customer for approval.

To save your design as an Illustrator file, click on the Save button on the toolbar and choose a location and name for your file. Your design will be saved as an AI file with embedded embroidery information.
