About the Event

‘Through Her Eyes’ is a dance film and photographic exhibition that shares the stories of the wives and their family members of those who have a diagnosis of Combat PTSD and are suffering with additional mental health issues.

These women have opened up about the struggles they face on a daily basis, sharing their wishes, hopes and fears.

These women all hold unique and collective experiences that we feel are important to share with you all. Through dance, poetry, a one off musical composition and photographic exhibition, Neoteric Dance Company will bring to light the impact Combat PTSD has on those who support loved ones with this diagnosis and to give these women a voice when they feel unheard and forgotten.

This dance film and photographic exhibition is able to happen because Artistic Director Emma Dickson was awarded an artist residency at ‘The Island, DanceSpace’ Bristol. Emma was also awarded Act Council England Funding. The Ripple Pond helped with sharing the company’s work within their networks, supporting wives and mothers to take part in this project.
